  1.                           HYTELNET-Mac version 6.1

  5. HYTELNET-MAC has been written specifically for those users who access the
  6. Telnet utility from a Macintosh personal computer.  Most of this file, and 
  7. all of the other data files that come with the Mac version are duplicates 
  8. of the PC Hytelnet data files.  This version is esentially a direct port 
  9. from the PC version of Hytelnet. The PC files may be used
  10. from this version, at the end of every line you will see a box.  The box is
  11. a linefeed character used by IBM computers to mark the end of each line in
  12. a text file.

  16. Many new site files have been added, and many have been updated or
  17. deleted.

  19.                     ** Minimum System Requiremnets **
  20.  
  21. Macintosh Plus
  22. 1Mb Ram memory (2.5 under system 7)
  23. 1.5M free hard disk space
  24. System 6.0.5
  25. HyperCard 2.0

  27.                            ** Installation **
  28.  
  29. Create a Hytelnet folder on your hard drive, place the Hytelnet stack
  30. in the folder.  Place the 'Hytelnet Data' folder in the Hytelnet
  31. folder.  You may rename the HyperCard stack, and place it any where on
  32. your hard disk.  The name of the 'Hytelnet Data' folder must not be
  33. changed, nor any files in this folder. This folder must also be placed
  34. in the same folder as the Hytelnet stack. There are curretly 700+ files
  35. in the data folder - if you want to open the folder be prepared to
  36. wait.

  61.                            **Some other information**
  62.  
  63. - Use the mouse to move around the Hytelnet Information.
  64.   To see a new field click over the item name in rectangular brackets.
  65.       e.g. <US203X>
  66. - Click over the start button to return to the starting screen.
  67. - Click over the Go Back button to retrace your steps
  68. - The up and down arrow keys select items (Mac II or better).
  69. - When 'Character jump' is checked entering a character will select
  70.   the first site starting with that character. The return key will also
  71.   open selected items, and launch telnet when appropriate.
  72. - The left and right arrow keys backup or open selected items 
  73.   (Mac II or better). 
  74. - Click over the Word Telnet or TN3270, click over the 'Go for it"
  75.   button or press the return key to launch Telent (TN3270).
  76. - If you want to print out the information in a specific field
  77.   choose 'Print Field' from the file menu.
  78. - Click over the field name for a pop up menu of the last 15 fields.
  79. - If you want to use the PC files or Mac files over a network click over
  80.   the 'Network' button and find the START.TXT file.  The path name to
  81.   this file will be stored in the HyperCard stack.  If the network button
  82.   is not checked the Hytelnet stack must be in the same folder as
  83.   the Hytelnet data.
